Busy Bee Series: Corn Husking Bee
Museum Collection
Corn husking bees are usually held in the evening with music and games. Piles of harvested corn ears are arranged in the center of the room. People make it a competition to see how many ears of corn they can husk. When a boy finds a red ear of corn he has the privilege of kissing the girl next to him.
